Sightseeing

 

 

Many of our chauffeurs are trained guides. All of them speak Swedish and English and many also speaks an additional language. With our multilingual Chauffeurs, we are able to offer you sightseeing services in most major European languages.

We welcome the opportunity to help you create your own sightseeing program. We also offer a number of excursions we know from earlier experiences, which are much appreciated. Sightseeing Program:
Half day. 3 hours: A quick look at the most important points of interest in Stockholm:

- Down town roundtrip.

- Old town with medieval church.

- City Hall, the site of the Nobel banquet.

 

Full day 6-8 hours: Overview with down town round trip and stops at:

- Old town with medieval church.

- City Hall, the site of the Nobel banquet.

- Royal Palace Armoury (if open) or Crown Jewels (if open) in clients choice.

- The Vasa Museum.

 

Full day 6-8 hours: - Overview with down town roundtrip and stops at:

Old town with medieval church.

- City Hall, the site of the Nobel banquet.

- Drottningholm Palace, the private residence of the Swedish Royal family.

- The Vasa Museum.

 

Outside Stockholm:

Uppsala/Sigtuna. 4-6 hours.

- Carolina Rediviva the oldest and largest university library in Sweden where the (Silver bibel) is.

- Uppsala University is one of Europe's oldest universities, built 1477.

- The Cathedral, bulit around 1435.

- Old Uppsala with the royal mounds (Viking graves).

- Linnaeus garden, created by Olof Rudbäck round 1660. After his dead Linnaeus toke over the garden.

- Uppsala Castle was built during the time Sweden was on its way to become a great power in Europe.

- Sigtuna was founded on what was then the shore of Lake Mälaren just over 1,000 years ago.

 

Gripsholm – Mariefred. 4-6 hours.

- Gripsholm Castle, known as Gustav Vasa´s castle as it was he who built the castle here in 1537. 

- Take a trip with East Södermanlands railway with over 100 years old steam train.

- Lunch at the famous Gripsholms inn is an attractive possibility.
